Martha "Frances" Tucker McDonald, 84, of Tifton passed away Monday, December 9, 2002, at Tift Health Care. Her funeral service was held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 11, 2002, in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals with the Rev. Dr. Charles R. Parker, Sr. officiating. Mrs. McDonald was laid to rest at Oak Ridge Cemetery.
Mrs. McDonald's grandsons served as pallbearers.
Born September 6, 1918, in Dougherty County, Mrs. McDonald was the daughter of the late O. E. Tucker and Fannie Mayo Tucker. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Earl McDonald, who passed away in 1982; one sister, Hermine T. Thompson; one brother, B. F. Tucker; and one son-in-law, Charles O. "Bud" Willis. She was a homemaker; and she was a member of Northside Baptist Church in Tifton. She attended Albany schools; and she had lived in Tift County for over 60 years.
Mrs. McDonald is survived by four daughters and two sons-in-law, Martha M. and Troy Hobbs of Ashburn, Jewell M. and Carlton Jackson of Albany, Sanra M. Cone of Quitman and Laverne Willis of Tifton; one brother, Mayo M. Tucker of Tifton; one sister, Sarah T. Brookshire of Seal Beach, California; nine grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren.
