POMELLI Gloria E. Originally of Jamaica Plain, more recently of West Roxbury, Sandwich, and Salem, passed away peacefully on July 21, 2024 with her loving family by her side. Beloved daughter of the late Giovanni and Antonetta (Cianci) Pomelli. Sister of the late Elena Zuccola, Edith Fiatarone, Emily Vitello, and John Pomelli. Gloria was predeceased by her significant other Frank Cotoia and her long time childhood friend Marie Glynn. Gloria is survived by many nieces and nephews, the Glynn family and many friends.
Gloria was a supervisor at New England Telephone for 35 years. She loved to travel, paint, and entertain family and friends.
Visiting hours will be held at the P.E. Murray - F.J. Higgins, George F. Doherty & Sons Funeral Home 2000 Centre St. West Roxbury on Thursday, July 25th from 10-11am, followed by a Funeral Mass at St. Theresa of Avila Chapel at 11:30am. Relatives and friends kindly invited. Interment St. Joseph Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Gloria’s memory to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Pl., Memphis, TN 38105, or to a charity of your choice.
