Mary E. Melanson, of Medford, formerly a longtime resident of Cambridge, July 23rd. Beloved wife of the late Joseph Melanson. Mother of Joseph Melanson Jr. and his wife Denise of California, Diane Benoit of Cambridge and Peggy Kelly and her husband John of Medford. Grandmother of Marcel, Keri and Danny and great grandmother of Cody, Gunnar, Ty, Ronnie and Joe. Mary was raised and educated in Cambridge. She was a Schoolteacher for the Cambridge Public Schools, retiring as a reading specialist after many years of service. She enjoyed spending the summer months at her residence at Hampton Beach in New Hampshire. Relatives & friends are invited to attend services which include visiting hours at the Breslin Funeral Home, 610 Pleasant St., Malden on Friday July 26th from 9-11 AM and her Funeral Mass celebrated at Immaculate Conception Church, 600 Pleasant St., Malden at 11:30 AM. Interment is private.
