Claira Elzada "Clara" (Branscum) Hill, 86, of Alexandria passed away on July 22, 2024 at Alexandria Health and Rehabilitation following an extended illness.
She was born on October 9, 1937 in Wayne County, Kentucky to Dennis and Sarah Elizabeth (Jones) Branscum. She was a homemaker.
She was an avid reader and enjoyed listening to music.
She is survived by her son, Patrick (Lynn) Hill; two grandchildren, Codie (Shaun) Watts and Cheyenne (Bonifacio) Avila ; four great-grandchildren, Anthony, Augustine and Angelo Avila and Skylar Watts; two sisters, Esma Buck and Carrie Koger of Muncie; several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Robin Hill; four sisters, Chloe Morrow, Effie Fairchild, Lucy Heath and Mae Perry; two brothers, Homer Branscum and Theo Branscum.
Funeral Service will be at 12:30pm on Saturday, July 27, 2024 at Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service with Ned Clark officiating. Burial will take place in Elm Ridge Cemetery on Monday at 11:00am.
Visitation will be from 10:30am - 12:30pm on Saturday at the funeral home.
