Coral Parrin Monk, 74, of Orange Park, Florida, formerly of Tifton for many years, passed away Wednesday, February 6, 2002, in Orange Park, Florida. A memorial graveside funeral service was held for Mrs. Monk at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, February 9, 2002, at Oak Ridge Cemetery, where she was laid to rest. The Rev. Joseph L. Crumley officiated.
Born June 2, 1928, in Brisbane, Australia, Mrs. Monk was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Ruben Parrin. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Delmar L. Monk, Sr. She was a homemaker; and she was of the Pentecostal faith.
Mrs. Monk is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Delmar "Del" Jr. and Patsy Monk of Woodstock; one brother, Ruben Parrin of Brisbane, Australia; two sisters, June Rassett of Minneapolis, Minnesota and Maureen Parrin of Brisbane, Australia; three sisters-in-law and their husband, Ottis and Edd Walker of Tifton, Mrs. Bill Cloud of Altha, Florida and Winona and Edward Barbar of Martinez; one grandson, Terry Monk of Orlando, Florida; and three great-grandchildren.
