In Loving Memory of Elizabeth “Betty” Ann Hardro, age 76 of Rehoboth, MA, passed away peacefully on July 22, 2024 surrounded by close family.
Betty was a cherished and deeply loved woman who was extremely thoughtful, dedicated and generous to all who knew her. Betty loved her many conversations with her family, friends and grand-kids as she would often be their biggest cheerleader and supporter. Betty was extremely talented both in artistry and her culinary skills which she shared with many. Betty devoted her professional career path in many areas. She attended Lesley University and Mass Soldiers Home School of Nursing. Betty retired as Head of the Medical Department at Whitney Academy Inc. in East Freetown, MA in 2004. She also had career experiences being a restaurant owner showcasing her delicious cooking skills in Fall River, MA. She also was active in real estate, book keeping, and stayed home to care for her grandchildren for many years. Betty’s creative skills were expressed when she made handmade jewelry titled BOCA Designs with initials being her grandchildren’s first names. Betty also made beautiful knit and crochet items for many loved ones over the years and donated items to various hospitals. Betty was a lover of the arts and was a long time season ticket holder for the PPAC where she would often share show tickets with her family and friends. Betty loved to sing and performed in a number of plays at a local church community in Swansea with her granddaughter Brittney. In addition, she loved shopping for others and her generosity knew no limits to many around the holiday season and for all of her families’ celebrations. Betty loved music especially Ed Sheeran and was so excited to see him in concert at Gillette Stadium for her 70th birthday. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends.
