Obituary

Marie was born in Kinshasa AKA Zaire/Congo in 1969 and raised in Boston, MA by two loving parents Francois Roosevelt Fils-Aime and Marie Ange (Bazile) Fils-Aime. Marie Ducheine was a fierce and focused person in sports and academics growing up and even in her adulthood. She believed in education and using that ticket to write your pass to a successful life.

Marie was a caring and compassionate individual who wanted the best for those in her circle with emphasis on her family members, and especially for her daughter Kayti Ducheine. Marie and her husband Jean ensured Kayti saw it through and graduated from college.

There is nothing Marie would not do to help others in need as demonstrated and proven as a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. Upsilon Alpha Omega Chapter in Georgia. She has always been a problem solver and guided others along the way. She was pretty headstrong and operated with conviction while making time for others. Marie made time for her family and family events were a way for her to reconnect with loved ones.

Marie is the oldest cousin on her mother's side of the family and is a role model to her younger cousins, Her brother also saw her as a role giving praise and commended her for making and taking the leap of faith to spread her wings and move to New York and then again getting married and moving to a place neither her nor Jean had any family roots and made it on their own!

Marie now spreads her energy to the loved ones left on Earth; Mom, Kayti, Frank, Jean, many aunts, many cousins, five sister-in-laws, four brother-in-laws, and many friends!

Her spirit lives on. Always remembered as a fighter, motivator, and compassionate unmatched by her love of music. She shall dance in the heavens until we join her in celebration. She is now an Ancestor.
