Elaine A. Spann (79) of Brockton died July 20th in the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, Boston.
She was born in Charleston, South Carolina daughter of the late Edward Campbell and Bernice (Alston) Campbell. Elaine was a retired housekeeper for a nursing home facility and a member of the New Jerusalem Tabernacle of Prayer in Brockton. She enjoyed going to her church, serving in various activities events at church, volunteering at catholic charities, cooking, taking care of her family and friends and was known as a lively person.
Elaine is survived by 4 sons, Cornell Alston, John Alston and Eric Alston all of Brockton and Allen Alston of Shirley, 2 daughters, Angelett Spann of Taunton and Karlette Spann of Worcester, 4 brothers, Pastor Edward Campbell of Brockton, Earl Campbell of Georgia, Vernon Campbell and Charles Campbell both of South Carolina, 5 sisters, Sharlyn Singleton, Joanne Butler and Alethia Campbell-Wright all of South Carolina, Mary Simmons and Abby Campbell Uva both of Brockton, (sister of the late Essie Campbell), many grandchildren and 1 great grandson.
Services in the New Jerusalem Tabernacle of Prayer, 443 Summer Street Brockton Friday August 2nd at 10 am. Burial to follow in Melrose Cemetery, 88 N Pearl Street Brockton. Viewing in the Church from 8:30 am prior to services.
