Mary Sullivan, 81, of Taunton, Massachusetts, passed away peacefully on July 15, 2024, surrounded by her loving family.
Born in Dorchester to the late George and Madeline (Harrington) Reardon, Mary was the beloved wife of the late Paul E. Sullivan and cherished mother of three children: Jean Marie Gouveia and her husband Jason of Taunton, Daniel Sullivan and his wife Teresa of Kennebunk, ME, and Maureen O'Connor and her husband Gerald of Norwood.
Mary adored her role as a grandmother and took great joy in her grandchildren: Nichole, Katherine, Maeve, Emily, and Jared, who will miss her dearly. She also leaves behind several nieces and nephews.
Mary enjoyed bowling, ceramics, the outdoors, and camping in her younger years. She spent many happy years in Bridgewater where she cultivated lasting friendships and cherished moments with her family. She had a passion for reading, enjoyed watching television especially the New England Patriots, Boston College, Notre Dame, and Penn State football games. She cherished the times spent socializing with her loved ones. Her warm smile and kind heart touched the lives of all who knew her. Mary will be remembered fondly for her gentle spirit, unwavering love for her family, and her ability to find happiness in life's simple pleasures despite challenges.
A Mass of Christian Burial celebrating Mary's life will be held at the Immaculate Conception Church, 600 Pleasant Street, Malden, on Monday, July 29th at 10am. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. There are no visiting hours. Interment in Holy Cross Cemetery, Malden.
