Obituary

DUDLEY – Felix C. “Phil” Kujawski, 86, of 1 Deary Lane, died Sunday, July 23, in Webster Manor after an illness.

He leaves his wife of 33 years, Alice H. (Kokocinski) Kujawski; 3 children, June Mas of Dudley, Alan Kujawski and his wife Dina of Webster, and Kara Blodgett and her husband Roger of Underhill, VT; 3 stepchildren, William Dumouchel and his wife Sara of China, Paula Lewis and Pamela Haley and her husband Tim, all of Dudley; 12 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, and many nephews and nieces. His first wife, Julia (Mierzewski) Kujawski, died in 1969. He was preceded in death by his 6 brothers, Leo, Sr., Joseph, Frank, Edward, Bernard and Chester Kujawski, and by his sister Cecelia Starosta.

He was born and raised in Webster, the son of Anthony and Helen (Pepka) Kujawski, and lived in Dudley over 60 years. He graduated from Bartlett High School, where he played varsity basketball and baseball.

He was a Navy veteran of World War II.

Mr. Kujawski owned and operated the Brandon Road Market for many years. He then worked as a meat cutter at Park ‘N’ Shop before retiring in 1982. In his retirement, he was the part-time custodian at the Dudley Town Hall for 10 years.

He was a member of St. Andrew Bobola Church. He was a member of the Board of Directors of the Jigger Club. He was a former member of the Polish American Veterans and the Webster-Dudley American Legion Post #184. He enjoyed playing pitch and was a devoted Boston Red Sox fan.

The funeral, with military honors, will be held Thursday, July 27, from the Sitkowski & Malboeuf Funeral Home, 340 School St., Webster, with a Mass at 10:00 AM in St. Andrew Bobola Church, 54 West Main St. Burial will be in St. Joseph Garden of Peace, Webster. Calling hours are from 5:00 to 8:00 PM Wednesday, July 26, in the funeral home.
