WEST SPRINGFIELD - Cecelia C. "Cece" (Cameron) Scibelli, 90, of West Springfield, was Called Safely Home on Wednesday, July 17, 2024. She passed into Eternal Life at Agawam East Rehabilitation and Health Care surrounded by the care and comfort of her loving family. She was born in Boston on October 21, 1933, a beloved daughter of the late Donald and Sarah (Ternullo) Cameron. She was raised in West Roxbury, lived in Ludlow, then moved to West Springfield where she lived for 30 years. In 1994, she spent her winters in Naples, Florida and summered in Wells Beach, Maine. She lived her final years at Heritage Woods in Agawam where she made many friends. She was a Key Punch Operator for over 20 years at the American Bosch in Springfield. She previously was employed for Liberty Mutual Insurance Company in Boston and Titeflex in Springfield. Cece was quite the athlete in her younger years when she went to school in Boston and continued to be in her later years as an avid bowler belonging to many leagues in the area. During her leisure time, she enjoyed playing Mahjong, working on crosswords and Sudoku puzzles, and her many trips to Greece, Canada, and Nova Scotia. Most of all, she loved spending time with her family and many friends. She was predeceased by her beloved husband and soul mate, Anthony J. Scibelli who was Called Home on February 8, 2002. They were married on Nov ember 2, 1957 at Saint Mary Church in Ludlow and they were blessed with over 44 years of happiness together. She leaves her three loving and devoted children, Susan Audette and her husband, Joseph, of Belchertown, Donald A. Scibelli and his wife, Christine, of Monson, and David A. Scibelli and his wife, Mary Anne, of West Springfield; her seven cherished grandchildren, Nicholas Audette, Simone Audette, Michael Scibelli and his wife, Melissa, Jonathan "Jon" Scibelli and his wife, Charlotte Lawson, Robert "Robbie" Scibelli and his fiancée, Madeline Murphy, Edward "Teddy" Scibelli, and Jenna Scibelli and her fiancé, Tyler Fontaine; her four cherished great grandchildren, Mia Scibelli, Isla Scibelli, and Eli and Wes Fontaine; her brother, John M. Cameron and his wife, Ada, of Ludlow; and her many dear nephews, nieces, cousins, extended family members and friends. In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her sister, Rose (Cameron) Falconer who was Called Home on August 11, 2021; and her brother, Donald R. Cameron Jr. and his wife, Nancy (Fidalgo) Cameron. Her family will receive friends on Wednesday morning, July 24, 2024 from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. followed by a Prayer Service at 10:30 a.m. at the St. Pierre-Phaneuf Springfield Chapels, (413-737-1177), 7 Chapin Terrace, Springfield, MA 01107. Her Burial will follow the Prayer Service at the Saint Thomas Cemetery, 420 Kings Highway, West Springfield, MA 01089.
