David A. Torrey, 61, of Kingston MA passed away on Wednesday, July 17th at Boston Medical after a courageous battle with cancer. He was a loving father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and was cherished by so many.
Born in Plymouth, MA he was son of the late Roger Torrey and Jean (Paine) Torrey. He was predeceased by his Brother Edward Torrey of Pembroke, MA and his niece and God-daughter Jennifer (Viator) Avenell of South Carolina.
David graduated from Silver Lake High School where he went on to work 25 years at Hanson Lite Control before becoming a property manager in numerous communities within Massachusetts. He also spent time volunteering at Kingston animal shelter as he was an avid animal lover. He loved all sports, mainly football and his favorite team was the Seattle Seahawks. He enjoyed camping and spending time with his family especially his grandsons Hunter and Jaxon. David was a kind soul with a contagious smile that was unforgettable and he was adored by all.
He leaves behind his sister Ann Viator and husband Ronald Viator, brother Paul Torrey, Sister-in-law Darlene Torrey of the late Edward Torrey, daughter Sarah Torrey and fiancé John, grandsons Hunter and Jaxon, Nephews Edward Torrey, and Shaun Torrey, niece Jessica Viator and fiancé Jared and many grand nephews and nieces.
