Obituary

BRISTOL----William Joseph St. Germain, 76, a veteran of the U.S. Army, passed away suddenly on Sunday, July 14, 2024.

He was raised in Turners Falls, MA by his parents Helen (Walichowski) and Joseph St. Germain. Bill was the oldest of three children, lovingly referred to as “the three Bs”: Billy, Bobby and Barbara.

After graduating from American International College and his honorable discharge from the army, Bill worked in sales for Curtin Matheson Scientific. He applied his laboratory and science experience to eventually establish his own successful business called H&L Distribution.

Bill married Sandra Lee Mackay in 1987 and they lived in Bedford, NH for many years. They recently relocated to beautiful Newfound Lake in Bristol, NH for their retirement. During their 37 years together, Bill enjoyed time with family camping, hiking, skiing, boating, cruising and traveling to different countries around the world.

In 2015, Bill became a proud grandfather to Joseph James, followed by granddaughters, Lillian (2017) and Kiera (2019). He was in his glory as their Pépé. Spending time with his daughter Jennifer and her children was one of the greatest joys in his life.

Bill is survived by his loving wife, Sandra Mackay of Bristol, NH, daughter, Jennifer, son-in-law, Michael, grandchildren: Joseph, Lillian and Kiera James of Windermere, FL, brother, Robert St. Germain (Nancy) of Northfield, MA, sister, Barbara J. Doughty (Jim) of Taylors, SC, as well as many loved and cherished cousins, in-laws, nieces and nephews.

There will be no calling hours.

A Memorial Mass will be Celebrated on Saturday, August 3, 2024, at 10:00am, at St. Francis of Assisi Church, 441 Fellsway West, Medford, Massachusetts.

A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, August 5, 2024, at 10:30am, at the Bristol United Church of Christ, South Main Street, Bristol, NH.

Committal services will be held on Monday, August 5, 2024, at 12:00pm, at the New Hampshire State Veterans Cemetery in Boscawen.
