Obituary

Sheryl Eloise Boone Burr, more affectionately known as “Momma Burr”, was born on November 21, 1951, in Brooklyn, New York to Lillie Bell Boone and Daniel Stephen
Andrews Boone.

Sheryl attended and graduated from Graham Jr. College in Boston, MA and went on to obtain her master’s degree from Suffolk University in Boston, MA.

Sheryl met Daniel Lee Burr, Sr., at Graham Jr. College and they joined in holy matrimony
on June 1, 1974. From this union two children were born, Yianna and DJ.
Sheryl worked at Kendall Corp., as a product sales manager and upon her departure from Kendall Corp., she went on to have a twenty-five (25) year career with the United States Post Office in Wayland, MA.

In 1992 Sheryl and Daniel founded their own church, New Jerusalem, in Holliston, MA and held services in their home, which they eventually outgrew and moved into a new
building in Framingham, MA. Sheryl later became a member of Belmont Street AME Zion Church and then went on to make Stanley Chapel her final church home. Sheryl and Daniel raised their children in the church. Sheryl participated in many church activities; she expressed her love for singing by being a faithful member of the church choir and it was her love for education and children that led her to serve as a Sunday
school teacher as well.

Sheryl is predeceased by her parents Lilly Boone Coleman and Daniel Stephen Andrew
