Lynda M. (Young) Merrill

STANDISH- It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Lynda M. (Young) Merrill, who departed this life on July 13, 2024, at the age of 70. Born in Portland, ME on December 16, 1953, Lynda lived a life filled with love and dedication to her family.
Lynda was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, cousin, and friend. She leaves behind her devoted husband of 49 years, Robert E. Merrill Jr.; their daughter, Amy M. Carter (Eric) of Burlington, MA; and her grandson, Zackery Fletcher, of Idaho Falls, ID. She is also survived by her brother, Robert A. Young (Deborah), of Bath, ME.
Lynda grew up in Portland and Scarborough, attending local schools there. She was residing in Standish, ME, at the time of her passing. Predeceased by her parents, Raymond W. Young and Marilyn S. Young, who resided in Scarborough, Lynda carried forward their legacy of kindness and generosity of spirit.
Lynda enjoyed gardening, camping, and raising her family. Her happiest times were spent at her parents' camp on Deer Pond.
Her kindness and spirit will be remembered by all. Lynda's legacy will continue to inspire those she leaves behind.
