Westbrook- Beverly Grace (Smith)Watson, age 78, passed away on July 15, 2024 at Stroudwater Lodge Assisted Living Facility after a courageous battle with cancer.
She was born in Sycamore, Illinois on May 2, 1946, a daughter of the late Paul & Eleanor Smith of Streator, Illinois. After graduating from Sycamore High School, Bev went on to attend Illinois Valley Community College and obtained a Bachelors Degree in Psychology.
Bev had many jobs over the years including Managing the (2) Movie Theatres in Streator Illinois, Managing the Fotomat Store in Streator. She moved to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina to be by her sister and became a Personal Caregiver for many clients over the years.
Bev enjoyed bicycle riding and staying in touch with family & friends . She is predeceased by her sister Barbara German & brother Bruce Smith.
Bev is survived by her brother Byron Smith of Minnesota; his son- Nathan Smith; Bev’s son - Shane Watson and wife - Heather Watson; six grandchildren- Samantha Deveau, Mitchell Watson, Trey Watson, Jess Nelson, David Nelson, Krystal Nelson; and two great grandchildren - Audree Coolidge, Watson Deveau.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Compassus Hospice of Scarborough, 163 US Rt. I, Scarborough, Maine 04074 for their support and comfort of Bev in her final months.
