LACONIA ---- Helena Janczurewicz, 80, of Laconia, New Hampshire, passed away on Friday, July, 12, 2024, at Concord Hospital in Laconia surrounded by her loving family.
Helena Naumo, born on February 2, 1944, in Skojdziszki, Poland, to Waclaw and Janina (Truchanowicz) Naumo.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jan Janczurewicz. Helena worked as a dedicated Seamstress Supervisor at Andrew Dutton and had a passion for cooking authentic Polish food, crocheting, gardening, and spending time with her grandchildren.
Helena is lovingly remembered by her children: Bronislaw “Tron” Janczurewicz, Irene Janczurewicz, Magdalena Gouette, John Janczurewicz, and Alinka Griffin; her sons-in-law, Paul Griffin and David Gouette; and her daughter-in-law, Jennifer Janczurewicz. Known as “Babcia” she was a proud grandmother to nine grandchildren: Alexander Janczurewicz, Thomas Gendron, Sarah Maciel, Jonathan Janczurewicz, Anna Janczurewicz, Emily Griffin, Paul Griffin Jr., Isabella Janczurewicz, and Harrison Janczurewicz. She also cherished her great-grandson, Ricardo Maciel, and her many cousins in Poland. She was predeceased by her brother Mieczyslaw Naumo. Helena found great joy in her close relationship with her cousin, Anna Samsel Anderson of Grimeland, NC, originally from Poland. Their bond, especially through speaking Polish, kept Helena connected to her roots and family in Poland.
A Graveside Service will be held on Friday, July 19, 2024, at 10:00 am at Sacred Heart Cemetery, Garfield Street, Laconia, NH.
