HAMPSTEAD, NH – Ida M. (St.Germain) Mierzejewski, 104, died in the early morning hours on, July 11, 2024 at home with her family at her side. Her husband of 48 years, Edward Mierzejewski, died in 1995.
She leaves her daughter, Sandra M. Skeete and her husband Walton with whom she lived; a grandson, Christopher Rigazio of Atkinson and his wife Karen Rigazio of Salem; and 3 grandchildren, Anna, Dominic and Mia.
She was born at home in Dudley, MA on October 19, 1919, the daughter of Narcisse and Alphonsine (Belanger) St. Germain and attended Bartlett High School in Webster. She lived for over 40 years in Oxford, MA and then in Webster for 20 years before moving to her daughter’s home in 2017. She lived on Sunset Lake in Hampstead and loved watching the boating and water sports from the living room or on the new porch with our toy poodle Teddy on her lap.
Mrs. Mierzejewski was a stitcher at the former Bently Shoe Company in Webster, MA for 36 years. She retired in 1983.
Ida belonged to Saint Roch’s Church in Oxford, MA and then to Sacred Heart of Jesus Church in Webster, MA before she moved to Hampstead. She was skilled at sewing. She was still driving her car at age 97.
A graveside service will be held privately in the family lot at Sacred Heart Cemetery in Webster. There are no calling hours.
