Joyce E. Gould (Rieser) age 91, of Little River, SC, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 10, 2024, at her home surrounded by her family. She was the wife of the late Lt. Charles E. Gould (Ret. Brockton Fire Department)
Born in Boston, she was the daughter of the late Leo H. and Dorothy (Morris) Rieser.
She enjoyed serving as a cafeteria worker for the Brockton School Department for many years. In addition, she also worked at Green Market in Brockton for many years.
Some of her interests include baking, preserving, painting, sea shelling, gardening and camping.
Joyce was loving, caring, strong and energetic yet easygoing and always willing to lend a hand.
Mrs. Gould is survived by her children, Kenneth S. Gould of Little River, SC, Kevin D. Gould and his wife Gail of Conway, SC, Keith R. Gould and his wife Charlene of Forestdale, MA, and Kurt A. Gould and his wife Sue of Rumney, NH; seven grandchildren, Theresa Gould, Heather Gould, Rachelle Gould, Kenneth Gould, Kayla Gould, Jessica Bangs, and Benjamin Gould; one great grandson, Nathan Goldman; and many nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Elaine Salvetti and Leo H. Rieser, Jr.
Visiting hours will be on Thursday, July 18, 2024, from 4:00 to 7:00 pm, in the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street (Rte. 123) Brockton. The funeral procession will gather at the funeral home on Friday, July 19, 2024, at 11:00 am for a funeral service at 11:30 am. Interment will follow in the Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne at 1:30 pm.
