Egidia Moreira Semedo (86) of Providence, Rhode Island died July 9th in the Good Samaritan Medical Center, Brockton. She was the wife of the late Antonio Tavares Varela.
She was born in Sao Lourenco de Orgaos, Cabo Verde daughter of the late Joao Sanches Semedo and Louisa Lopes Moreira. Egidia loved to pray and cook.
Egidia is survived by her 3 daughters, Norberta, Maria Louisa and Maria Joseph, 7 sons, Carlos, Jose Carlos, Jose Jorge, Albert, Joao DeLuz, Lucino and Lucindo, 2 sisters, Maria Ines and Joaquina, many grand, great grand and great great grandchildren.
Visitation in the Home of Funerarias Multi Culturel, 238 Court Street Brockton Wednesday July 17th from 5-8 pm.
Funeral Services and Burial to follow in her home country of Praia, Santiago, Cabo Verde. Funerarias Multi Culturel are assisting the family with travel arrangements.
