Gerald W. (Gerry) Clark passed away Sunday, July 7, 2024 at Creekside Health Center in Sarasota Florida after a long period of declining health.
He was born on March 3, 1950 in Lowell Massachusetts. The son of the late John (Walter) Clark and Virginia Ball Clark. He was married to the late Deborah Minnon.
He attended Lowell High School before joining the US Army in 1969. Gerry served his country for two years and was a decorated Vietnam Veteran.
He was a long time Teamster's union truck driver and worked for Market Basket, Purity Supreme and DJ Reardon as well as several area companies prior to retirement.
He was a snowbird for many years before setting in Bradenton, Florida for the last few years.
He leaves his cherished daughter, Shana Clark in Lowell MA, his brother and very best friend John Clark in Bradenton Florida, his sister Lynda Clark in Lowell MA and his sister Darleen Clark, as well as his nephew John Moriarty and grand niece and nephew Danny and Julia Moriarty.
He also leaves many cousins and great lifelong friends back home in Lowell who knew him by his childhood nickname, Clete.
It being Gerry's wish, burial services will be private. A celebration of Gerry's life will be held at a later date.
