Funeral Service in the J. Frank Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street (Rte 123) Brockton, Tuesday at 11am. A private burial will be held in Central Cemetery, E. Bridgewater. Visitation Tuesday 10-11am. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 1115 W. Chestnut St., #301, Brockton, MA 02301.

David E. Emilson died Saturday at the Brockton Hospital following a lengthy illness. He was born and raised in Brockton, a son of Margaret J. (Hager) (Emilson) DeGara and the late Eric J. Emilson. He attended Brockton schools and was a graduate of Brockton High School, Class of 1966. He had served in the US Army Reserve. He had been employed at the Brockton Enterprise for 17 years, holding various positions; his last being the Circulation Operations Manager. He enjoyed golfing and the Boston Red Sox, and was a longtime member of the Bertocci Club.
He is survived by his mother Margaret J. (Hager) (Emilson) DeGara of East Bridgewater and sister Judith A. Guarino of North Easton, a niece Lu-Ann Souza of Norton, a nephew Kevin Guarino of Plymouth, an aunt Jeanette Murphy of Milford and uncle Robert C. Hager of Hartford, CT. He was the brother of the late Paul P. Emilson.
