Obituary

CHICOPEE – Patricia a. (King) Uszynski, 83, of the Fairview section of Chicopee, was Called Safely Home on Saturday, June 22, 2024. She passed into Eternal Life at Day Brook Village in Holyoke surrounded by the care and comfort of her loving family. She was born in Montague on November 2, 1940, a beloved daughter of the late Robert A. and Rita I. (Baker) King. She was raised in Greenfield, attended local schools and moved to Fairview around 1960. She was employed for 27 years as a cook for McDonald’s on Memorial Drive in Chicopee. She previously was employed at the former A. G. Spalding Company in Willimansett and for Liberty Bakeries in Chicopee. During her leisure time, she enjoyed crocheting. Most of all, she loved her family and her many friends. She was predeceased by her beloved husband and soul mate, Edward Uszynski who was Called Home on June 10, 2021. They were married on October 1, 1960 at Holy Family Church in Greenfield and were blessed with over 60 years of happiness together. She was also predeceased by her loving daughter-in-law, ShirleyAnn (Walker) Uszynski who was Called Home on July 24, 2006; and her dear brothers-in-law, Peter Girard and Douglas Dauphinas. She leaves her three loving children, David J. Uszynski and his wife, Alison, of Hobe Sound, FL, Debra A. Sapouckey, and James E. Uszynski and his wife, Marcella, all of Chicopee; her eight cherished grandchildren whom she adored, Ronald Sapouckey, Dr. Sarah Sapouckey and her husband, Kyle Nobes, Ashley Sapouckey, Rebecca Sapouckey and her fiancé, Kyle Holman, Abigail Uszynski, Nicole Uszynski, Nathanial Albright and Brandyn Lacasse; her four cherished great-grandchildren, Ashton Uszynski, Autumn Uszynski, Gabriel Albright and Spencer Albright; her three dear sisters, Mary Girard of Virginia, Beatrice Dauphinas of South Carolina, and Barbara Paulin and her husband, James, of Gill, MA; and her many dear nephews, nieces, cousins, numerous friends and extended family members. Her family and friends are invited to a Graveside Service on Friday, August 2, 2024 at 1:30 p.m. at Mater Dolorosa Cemetery, 152 Pittroff Avenue, South Hadley, MA 01075. Her arrangements have been entrusted to the St. Pierre – Phaneuf Fairview Chapels, (413-533-3307), 506 Britton Street, Chicopee, MA 01020.
