Obituary

Corrinne Susan Rowe, 61, of Marshfield, Massachusetts, passed away peacefully on July 6, 2024, surrounded by her loving family.

Diagnosed with ovarian cancer in March 2022, Corrinne fought courageously with unwavering determination throughout her battle

Corrinne was born on June 17, 1963, to Joyce McKinnon and Norval Rowe in Weymouth, Massachusetts. She attended Weymouth High School where she graduated in 1981.

She dedicated over 20 years as a bus driver for First Student, where she found her second family that she loved and cherished deeply. Corrinne was always driving her routes with a smile and a kind word towards everyone.

In 1982, Corrinne met her husband James Alston. Together, they had three children: Jocelyn, Jasmine, and Jillian.

Corrinne had a big heart and an even brighter soul. A private and quiet individual, she was fearlessly independent, sensitive, and incredibly compassionate. Her profound love for nature often led her to lose herself in its serene embrace. She could be found foraging for materials to craft beautiful wreaths and birdhouses, giving back to the natural world she cherished so deeply. An avid reader and a passionate animal lover, Corrinne dedicated her life to caring for many beloved animals.

Predeceased by her mother, Joyce McKinnon, and her husband, James Alston, Corrinne joins them in Heaven. She is survived by her two sisters, her daughters Jocelyn, Jasmine, and Jillian, and her two dogs, Theo and Brody, who were her "boys" and held a special place in her heart.

Though Corrinne fought bravely, we take comfort in knowing she is now free from pain. We imagine her sitting on a beach in warm, crystal-clear waters, soaking up the rays from heaven, or as she would describe it, "charging up her batteries" with the latest James Patterson book in hand.

We will honor Corrinne at a later date to be announced.
