Rob was born in Holyoke, MA son of the late Normand and Jacqueline (LaRose) Labrie. He graduated from Chicopee Comprehensive High School in 1978 and spent most of his life living in Chicopee.
He worked as an auto body technician for many years with Bertera Collision Center and previously worked for Balise Collision Center. He also worked at Unifirst as a driver. Rob loved being around classic cars and took great enjoyment in classic cars and spending time cruisin".
Mr. Labrie was happiest when he was able to spend time with his family. Growing up he spent his time seasonally camping with his family and made lifelong friends. Later in life he took up seasonal camping with Lynne. They camped at Wakeda camp ground a few miles away from Hampton Beach. He always enjoyed people watching at the camp ground and at the beach, especially when he had his pride and joy his 1969 GTO. He could spend hours talking cars. You could always find Rob with a diet coke in hand, Pepsi was not a real soda in his eyes! He loved building things and anything home improvement. He was eager to help people when his body allowed it. Quieter times he enjoyed listening to music or going to the movies to watch his action films on the big screen. But even with all the fast driving and shoot 'em up action he almost always fell asleep. Which his reaction if he was prodded was "I was just resting my eyes" date night on Saturdays with his wife was always a special occasion. he will be missed by all that knew him.
