Brenda Burg, 64, of Oxnard, CA, passed away on Friday, June 21, 2024, at Ventura Community Memorial Hospital in Ventura, CA.
Brenda was born on December 21, 1959, in Alamogordo, New Mexico, and later moved to Lompoc, CA, where she graduated from Lompoc High School. She worked for the Department of Defense as a civilian employee for 38 years. She earned her Juris Doctorate from the Southern California Institute of Law, where she met her husband, Eric Burg. They married on September 15, 2007, and lived in Oxnard until her passing.
Brenda was an original and active member of the Unity Christian Fellowship Church of God in Christ and loved traveling with her husband.
She is survived by her husband, Eric; mother, Dorothy Johnson; sisters, Linda, Doris, and Teresa; brother, Lionel; nephew, Lauphiette; and niece, Azaria. Her father, Leon Johnson, her mother-in-law, and her brothers, Kenny and Leon Johnson, preceded her in death.
A memorial service will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, July 27, 2024, at Ventura Missionary Church, 500 Highpoint Drive, Ventura, CA 93003. Inurnment will take place at Carpinteria Cemetery in Carpinteria, CA.
