Lawrence Jed Clark, 65, of Fitzgerald, Georgia, died Monday, July 8, 2024, at Dorminy Medical Center in Fitzgerald, Georgia.
Funeral services will be held 11 AM, Saturday, July 13, 2024, at the Fitzgerald Church of God, in Fitzgerald, Georgia, with the Rev. Dewain Joiner officiating and Ricky Hasty delivering the eulogy. Interment will follow in the Evergreen Cemetery, in Fitzgerald. The family will receive friends Friday evening, from 6 PM until 8 PM, at the funeral home in Fitzgerald.
Jed was born September 5, 1958, in Fitzgerald, Georgia, to the late L. H. & Yvonne Pridgen Clark. Jed retired after 30 years of services as the best 911 Dispatcher for Ben Hill County. He attended the Fitzgerald Church of God. Jed thoroughly enjoyed his retirement, spending time with his grandchildren, along with hunting and fishing. Those who knew him very well, knew his enjoyment of various genre of music. Above all, Jed was a family man who loved his family furiously.
Jed is survived by his wife, Colleen Clark; two daughters and their husbands: Candace & Bubba Freeman and Dania & Randall Williamson; grandchildren: Preston, Paisley, Ashton, Ava and Aiden; a sister, Jennifer C. Revels; a niece, Kristi & Johnathan Rhodes; and an uncle & aunt, Jimmy & Kay Clark. Jed leaves behind an enormous number of friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Jeffrey T. Clark and a grandmother, Leola Pridgen.
As Jed would say, "As they say in Japan, "Aloha".
