Obituary

Robert Johnson, 61, of Abington, Massachusetts, passed away on July 6, 2024, surrounded by his loving family.

Rob was a dedicated husband of 35 years to his wife, Gail, and a devoted father to his cherished daughters Courtney, Shannon and Allison. He was also a proud and loving Papa to his grandchildren, Finn and Maxwell, who brought immense joy to his life.

In addition to spending time with his family, Rob enjoyed golfing, playing guitar, and relaxing in his man cave. A passionate New England sports fan, he especially loved hockey and took great pleasure in cheering on the Boston Bruins.
Rob had a long and fulfilling career and truly loved his work and colleagues at ZRC Worldwide. His dedication and hard work were evident to all who worked with him.

Rob is survived by his beloved wife Gail Johnson (Beck), his loving daughters Courtney Ewell and her husband Christopher of Rockland, Shannon Johnson of Abington and Allison Johnson and her fiancé Joshua of Stuart, FL. He leaves behind his adored grandchildren Finn and Maxwell. He is also survived by his father, William Johnson and wife Claire Halifax; his brother William Johnson jr. and his wife Beverly of Abington; his brother Timothy Johnson and his wife Madonna of Abington; and his sister Debra Holland (Johnson) of Brockton. He is survived by loving in-laws, nieces, nephews and a host of long-time friends. He was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Cummings (Neely) and his loving Nana Dorothy Neely (Major).
Rob will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. His legacy of love and dedication to his family will live on in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know him.
A funeral service will be held on July 18, 2024, at 2:00pm at the Lutheran Church of the Cross, 77 Rockland St, Hanover, MA 02339. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to NVNA and Hospice of Norwell in Robert's honor.
