Worcester – Francis D. Smith, 62, of Worcester passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 07, 2024 in UMass Memorial Medical Center – University Campus after a brief illness.
Mr. Smith was born in Worcester, son of the late Leonard and Nancy (Chiaravalloti) Smith and is survived by his three siblings, Jack Smith of Worcester, Nancy Smith of Worcester and Rhonda Smith of Worcester and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he is also predeceased by two brothers, Robert Smith and William Smith.
He graduated from the former Worcester Boy’s Trade High School and worked many years in the construction industry where he had a reputation of being a skilled carpenter.
Funeral services are being held privately at the convenience of the family. Alfred Roy & Sons Funeral Home 12 Hammond St. Worcester is directing arrangements.
