Obituary

STANDISH- John “Jack” Guenthner passed away peacefully in the comforts of his home, in the arms of his loving wife Patty.

He was born and raised in Boston, Massachusetts.

In his younger years Jack proudly served in the US Army for 5 years as an enlisted soldier before transitioning to a very successful business owner in the HVAC field around the greater Boston area before retiring to Maine.

He was the life of the party with an infectiously positive spirit. Jack loved people and worked tirelessly to poke fun and keep the mood light ??

Jack was very kind and patient. He mentored so many young people in blue collar skills and shared his experience & wisdom for their benefit. He wholeheartedly believed in second chances and provided many to those who needed it.

Some of his favorite hobbies were hunting, dog training, home improvement, carpentry, cooking and spending time with family and friends on Watchic Lake.

Jack was also a New England Patriots superfan. He held season tickets for over 30 years and often remarked that he was so happy he got to see them win some Super Bowls in his lifetime!

Jack is survived by his spouse Patty, his 4 children Mark, Donna, Helen, and John, 2 stepchildren Greg and Marc, 9 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. The love he had for his family was unmatched! May he rest in paradise!
