WEST NEWFIELD - John H Lord Jr, age 77 passed away on July 8th, 2024, peacefully at his home.
John was born in Sanford, Maine on September 6th, 1946. Raised by his Mom Etta (Bodwell) Otis, & Stepdad Woody Otis. John enjoyed fishing, hunting, and spending time with his family. He was a member of The Elks Lodge, The Sanford Legion, & The Wolves Club. In his early years, John loved working on any vehicle he could take apart. He helped start the York County Mud Stompers. He was just a big kid in the mud!
John had a unique sense of humor; he always made a lasting impression on everyone he met.
This November, John would have celebrated 50 years of marriage with his loving wife Deanne “Dea” Lord.
John is survived by his beloved wife - Deanne (Capoccia) Lord; His Sister - Nina Ham, His Children - Marylou Mitchell & Husband Tom Mitchell, Douglas Dalton, Veronica Purdy & Husband John Purdy, Sabrina Lord, Christine Lord, John Lord & Wife Lisa Lord, Victor Lord & Wife Jamie Lord; 11 Grandchildren, & 14 Great Grandchildren; & his dog - Buddy.
A Celebration of Life will take place on August 10th, 2024 at: 28 Kilby Street, Sanford Maine 04073 from 10am- 2pm.
