WINDHAM, MAINE – Linda Lee (Aube) Shea, 77, of Windham, passed away on July 6, 2024 after a health struggle.
Linda was born on Jan. 10, 1947 to Joseph Aube and Francis (Nolet) Aube in Berlin, N.H. After Linda graduated from Berlin High School, she stayed in the Berlin area until she moved to Old Orchard Beach, Maine, and then to the west coast of Florida.
Linda worked a variety of jobs, including for a time at her favorite restaurant, Yokohama, in the early 1970’s. She then went on to own Surfside Apartments in Old Orchard Beach, with her husband of 43 years, Robert Lloyd Shea, who predeceased her in 2018. Linda loved going to and living near the beach, later retiring in Cape Coral and North Port, Fla. She moved back to Maine in 2021 and resided at Canco Village in Portland and Sable Lodge in South Portland before completing her life at Ledgewood Manor in Windham. Linda liked to renovate houses, paint, dress stylishly, buy shoes, and read novels.
Linda was predeceased by her husband Robert Lloyd Shea; her parents; brother Darrell Aube; and sister Charleen (Aube) Dumont.
Linda is survived by two children, Sheila (Rivard) Avery and husband John of Standish, and Scott Rivard and wife Sara of Gray; her brother Mark Aube of Berlin, N.H.; nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
A private celebration will be held at her son’s home on July 13.
