DUDLEY – Jeanette L. (Kaminski) Lorkiewicz, 92, died Saturday, July 6, 2024 in UMass/Memorial Harrington – Webster after being stricken ill at home. Her husband of 42 years, Michael E. Lorkiewicz, died in 1996.
She leaves her daughter, Linda S. Lorkiewicz, with whom she lived; a sister, Lorraine A. Kaminski of Dudley; a sister-in-law, Geraldine Kaminski of Webster; nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by 5 brothers, Joseph, Robert, Raymond, David and John Kaminski and by her sister Shirley Auger. She also leaves her cat Penny and dog Toby.
She was born on March 21, 1932 in Bristol, CT, the second child of Joseph F. and Bernadette M. L. (Huard) Kaminski and was raised in the Fabyan section of Thompson, CT. She had lived in Dudley since her marriage in 1953.
Mrs. Lorkiewicz was a shoe stitcher at Bates Shoe Company, at Sandlerette and at B & W Footwear Company. She then was a seamstress and cashier at Andrews Cleaners in Webster.
She enjoyed gardening and cooking.
Visitation will be held from 9:00 to 10:00 AM Friday, July 12, in the Sitkowski, Malboeuf & Hickey Funeral Home, 340 School Street, Webster, followed by a graveside service at 10:30 AM in Saint Joseph Garden of Peace, Webster.
