Elizabeth Louise (Cassidy) Barbour, 88, of Mendon, died July 5 at the Hebrew Senior Life in Roslindale of natural causes.
Born in Framingham, January 24, 1936, the daughter of the late Thomas J. and Mary L. (Chandley) Cassidy, Betty grew up and went to school in Millis but spent most of her life in Mendon.
She loved horses, the ocean and the New England Patriots, more so Tom Brady!
Betty owned a horse farm where she was a 4H leader and a talented trainer of riders and horses. She went to Saratoga every year for the horse auctions, morning workouts and the races. After Saratoga it was off to Wells, Maine to walk the beach and the Rachel Carson Reserve trails. Then it would be Thanksgiving, off to the fox hunt in Medfield, that would wrap up the horse stuff and it was Football time and Tom Brady!
She is survived by her children, Tom Hodgdon and his wife Liz of Millis, Donna Parlin and her partner Jay of East Port, Maine and Betty Ann Barbour and her partner Marty of Sharon.
She is also survived by her grandchildren, Crystal Jewel, Marshall Bean, Logan Bean and her great-grandchildren, Hannah Turcotte and Nathen Turcotte.
She was the grandmother of the late Milton Parlin Jr. and Cassidy Bean.
