Nancy A. Wood, 68 of Westminster, passed away with her family by her side after a brief battle with cancer on Tuesday, July 2, 2024 at Gardner Rehabilitation. She was born on February 16, 1956 in Cambridge and was a daughter of the late Donald R. Wood and Edith M. (McAleavey) Wood. She was raised in Tewksbury where she attended the area schools.
For many years, she worked as a supervisor at Stuarts in Tewksbury, where she was from the time they opened till the time they closed. Afterwards, she spent some time working as a shelf stocker in various local retail stores.
Nancy had a passion for music and photography, winning a Channel 5 photography award for one of her sunset shots. Above all else, she loved visits from her siblings and nieces and nephews.
Nancy is survived by her siblings, Carol Rakowski and her husband, Pete of Westminster, MA, Donna Maffeo and her husband, Dennis of Tewksbury, Joanne Kenney and her husband, Jim of Tewksbury, Donnie Wood and his wife, Anne of Amherst, NH, and John Wood and his wife, Beth of Sharon, MA. She is also survived by her nieces and nephews, Kevin Rakowski, Joe Maffeo and his wife, Aby, Hannah Maffeo, Jessica Kenney, Joshua Kenney and his fiancé, Sydney, Angela Bankowski, Jaclyn Kenney, and Alida Ortiz-Proctor; and her great nieces and nephews, Connor, Jace, and Ayla Rakowski, and Ellie Grace Kenney.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her nephew, the late PJ Rakowski.
