Elizabeth “Ellen” (Tiger) Bagley, 81, of Clymer, PA, and formerly of Cherry Tree, PA, passed away on Thursday, July 4, 2024 at home surrounded by her loving family.
The daughter of Oren Merle and Esther Faye (Travis) Tiger, she was born on July 10, 1942 in Punxsutawney, PA.
Ellen was a 1960 graduate of Harmony High School.
On December 30, 1961, Ellen married Carl Leo Bagley. They had shared forty-eight years of marriage together when he died on July 12, 2010.
Innately endowed with very artistic gifts, she was accomplished in the arts of crafting, ceramics and drawing. Ellen was known as a talented cook and baker. Her homemade cherry bars and raisin filled cookies were beloved family favorites.
Blessed with a green thumb, Ellen excelled at making beautiful flower gardens. She was devoted to creating a very welcoming, comfortable and meticulously organized home for her family.
Ellen is survived by her four daughters: Tammy (Fred) McDannell of Bristow, VA; Tracey (Brian) Wolfe of Clymer, PA; Jacqueline (Jeff) White of Cherry Tree, PA and Teri (Terry) James of Clymer, PA; nine grandchildren: Colton Pearce; Carley Pearce; Cassidy (Chris) Butler; Caleb Pearce; Nicholas McDannell; Jeffrey White; Sheila James; Terry James, Jr. and Sophia White and her four great grandchildren: Raiden Pearce; Macey James; Jett Pearce and Quinn Anthony James.
Also surviving are her sister, Joyce Cochran of Blairsville, PA; her brother, Ralph (Diana) Tiger of Cherry Tree, PA and her two sisters-in-law, Betty Tiger of Cherry Tree, PA and Mary Tiger of Northern Cambria, PA.
Ellen was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Carl and her two brothers: Merle “Wayne” and Dale Tiger.
In respect to Ellen’s wishes, there will not be a visitation. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Inurnment will take place at the Cookport Methodist Cemetery.
