Agnes Loretta Marando, 80

Agnes Loretta (Antonellis) Marando, age 80, of Foxborough, passed away peacefully on Friday, July 5, 2024. She was the beloved wife of the late Joseph A. Marando, to whom she was wed for fifty years at the time of his death on December 8, 2016.
Born in Boston, MA on August 22, 1943, she was a loving daughter of the late Amedeo and Mary (Smith) Antonellis.
Loretta grew up in the Roxbury neighborhood of Boston and was educated in Boston Public Schools. A dedicated homemaker to her adoring family, she was formerly employed as a cafeteria worker in the Foxborough School System.
A resident of Foxborough for over fifty years, Mrs. Marando was a communicant of Saint Mary’s Church in Foxborough. Loretta’s family was her greatest gift in life and the happiness she received spending time with her grandchildren was unmeasurable. Her hobbies included tending to her house plants, walking with friends, being the official family photographer and shopping for Hallmark cards for special occasions. When younger, Loretta also enjoyed ceramics.
She is survived by her devoted children, Joseph M. Marando and his wife Kathryn of Norton, Lisa M. Brennan and her husband Mark of Foxborough and Angela M. Walsh and her husband Robert of Chelmsford. She was the cherished grandmother of Jenna and Justin Marando, Shayna and Keenan Brennan, and Emma and Owen Walsh. She was the dear sister of Margaret Morganelli of Weymouth, Carmella Berger of North Attleboro, W. Joseph Antonellis of Weymouth, and the late Patrick “Bernie” King, Charles King, Mary Harney, Rita Zaccone and Frances McKenna. She is also survived by her loving nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend visiting hours on Friday, July 12th from 5:00-8:00 P.M. at the Sherman & Jackson Funeral Home, 55 North Main Street, Mansfield.
Her funeral will begin on Saturday, July 13th at 9:00 A.M. from the funeral home, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated at 10:00 A.M. in Saint Mary’s Church, 58 Carpenter Street, Foxborough. Burial will follow at Saint Mary’s Cemetery in Foxborough.
