Dorothy Irene Milliones Harris Brooks, 66, of Omega passed away Thursday, July 4, 2024, at Regency Specialty Hospital in Macon. Her funeral service will be held at 4:00 p.m. Sunday, July 7, 2024, in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals with the Rev. Ike Branch and the Rev. Jerry Riggs officiating. Mrs. Brooks will be laid to rest at Tift Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Sunday, July 7, 2024, in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals from 3:00 p.m. until the hour of the service.
Born July 21, 1957, in Adel, Mrs. Brooks was the daughter of the late Edward Everette Milliones and Ilene Sellars Milliones. She was also preceded in death by her first husband, Harold Kent “Kenny” Harris; one brother, Edward Milliones; and one sister, Mary Lou Boone. Before retiring, she worked at Tift Regional Medical Center; and she was a member of Tifton’s First Church of the Nazarene.
Mrs. Harris is survived by her husband, Jr. Brooks of Omega; two sons and daughters-in-law, Kenneth James “Keybo” and Tasha Harris, Harold Kent Jr. and Beth Harris, all of Ty Ty; one daughter and son-in-law, Melinda and Nick Loper of Brookfield; and nine grandchildren, Ashley, Tiffany, Johnathon, Sierra, Angel, Shelby, Anna, Carey Ava and Brian; and seven great-grandchildren.
