Christopher J. Lyle, 55

Christopher J. “CJ” Lyle, age 55, of Mansfield, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, July 4, 2024 at the Good Samaritan Medical Center in Brockton. He was the beloved husband of Kristen M. (Lindberg) Lyle, to whom he was wed for twenty-eight years.
Born in Stoughton, MA, he was a loving son of Claire A. (Lyle) Riggs of Mansfield and her late husband Gerald Riggs.
Chris grew up in Brockton, was a 1987 graduate of Brockton High School and continued his studies, graduating in 1991 with a bachelor’s degree from Emerson College. He had made his home in Mansfield for twenty-seven years and for the past ten years was employed as a pre-sales engineer at Dell Inc.
Chris loved spending time with family and friends, cooking, reading and traveling. He was passionate about the great outdoors and enjoyed nature’s beauty by visiting National Parks, hiking, kayaking and camping. His cat Ciara held a special place in his heart.
In addition to his wife and mother, he is survived by his devoted sons, Robert D. Lyle of El Paso, Texas and William C. Lyle of Mansfield and his future fianceé Colleen Wood of Norton. He was the dear brother of Robert F. Castelluzzi of Mansfield and the cherished uncle of Nicholas Castelluzzi of Mansfield. He was the much-loved son-in-law of Richard Lindberg of Mansfield and the late Mary Ellen Lindberg. Chris will be greatly missed by his family and his many friends and co-workers.
Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend visiting hours on Thursday, July 11th from 4:00-7:00 P.M. at the Sherman & Jackson Funeral Home, 55 North Main Street, Mansfield. Burial will be private.
