Michael J. Flaherty passed away on June 30, 2024 Unexpectedly.
He was born in Boston on April 8, 1978 and grew up in South Boston.
Michael’s wife, Jennifer Coleman preceded him, as did his mother, Marie Flaherty, and his son Connor Flaherty. He is survived by his children, Christian, Michael, and Teagan Flaherty respectively. He is also survived by his in-laws, Marshall and Susan Coleman, brother in-law, Chris Coleman, friends, Mike and Jillian Cocuzzo, and many more along with many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
Michael was an avid construction worker for most of his life. He pursued careers in roofing, union carpentry, and also as a locksmith amungst family members. Over the past 6 years, he became a skilled mason, machine operator and concrete finisher.
Michael loved music of all types, and he was rarely seen without music playing. He often referenced playing “buckets” outside fanuel hall and all around Boston. He loved to dance, and he loved to bring people together through his love for music.
Michael was loyal to his friends and family, and would do anything to see his people smile.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend visiting hours on Tuesday, July 9, 2024 from 3 pm to 7 pm at Casper Funeral Home, 187 Dorchester Street, South Boston.
