Camilla R. Candelmo Wickham of Portland passed away May 23, 2024, after a long illness. Camilla lived most of her life on Munjoy Hill and was proud to be “hill girl”. Camilla was known for her generosity, often feeding anyone who would stop by. Camilla was a very good cook; her stuffed bread and Italian cookies were always a favorite.
Camilla was predeceased by her mother Rita B. Hughes, her father Carmine (Tommy) Candelmo, and stepfather Lewis Hughes; all of Portland, her beloved son Joshua R. Wickham and brother Carmine (Sonny) Candelmo.
Camilla is survived by her sons William of Cape Elizabeth and Nicholas Distatio of NH, her three brothers Pasquale Candelmo of Perry, Edward of Limington, Dominic of Westbrook, a sister Donna Candelmo Babbit of Gray, and longtime companion Guy Brown of Biddeford, several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Camilla will be laid to rest at Pine Grove Cemetery Falmouth, Maine.
There will be a celebration of life at a later date.
