Anita E. Bolden, a lifelong resident of West Medford passed, away at the Melrose-Wakefield Hospital in Melrose, Massachusetts, on Saturday morning, June 29, 2024. She was 59 years old.
Born in Boston, Massachusetts, on August 9, 1964, she was the beloved daughter of the late Edward S. and Sylvia G. (Josey) Bolden. Anita had been employed by Mass Art as the Head of the Library Loan Department and Application Specialist, for many years. In her spare time, Anita loved to route for the Patriot's and enjoyed cooking for her family and friends. She was also a lifelong active member of the Shiloh Baptist Church of Medford. Anita will be dearly missed.
She is survived by her loving daughter; Nylah A. Bolden of Medford, brother and sister-in-law; Edward and his wife Anita Harris of Boston, sister; Teresa Bolden of Las Vegas, Nevada and several nieces and nephews. She was also the mother of the late Brandon S. Galloway-Bolden.
Her Funeral Service will be celebrated in the Shiloh Baptist Church, 1 Holton Street, Medford, on Thursday, July 11, 2024, at Noon. Relatives and friends are most welcome to attend. Visitation will be held in the church, prior to the service, from 11 AM to Noon. Interment will be held in the Oak Grove Cemetery in Medford.
