CENTER HARBOR ---- Paul Raymond Ouellette, 75, passed away on Monday, July 1, 2024, at Concord Hospital in Concord, New Hampshire.
Paul was born on December 9, 1948, in Laconia, the son of Oscar and Lena (Girard) Ouellette.
He graduated from Laconia High School where he was an outstanding athlete in football and baseball. Paul proudly served his country for four years in the US Marine Corps (1968-1972) with 1st Marine Aircraft Wing, including two tours of duty in Vietnam.
He graduated from Plymouth State College with a teaching degree. He began his teaching at Gilmanton Middle School and then taught for 28 years at Winnisquam Middle School. He also coached numerous school and recreational youth sports. For over 30 years, summers were spent working and playing at Waukewan Golf Course.
Paul was an avid sports enthusiast and enjoyed a variety of sporting activities, including hunting, fishing and golfing. Paul was a golf Club Champion at local courses, including Waukewan Golf Club and Laconia Country Club. He was also a devoted fan of New England sports, particularly the Patriots and Celtics. Upon retirement, he loved spending his winters in the Florida sun with family and friends.
Paul is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Cheryl (Proctor) Ouellette, daughter Kara Ouellette, son Korey Ouellette and his wife Kelley, grandchildren Caleb and Hailey, sister Mae Heyer and brother Donald Ouellette and his wife Peggy Innis.
There will be no calling hours.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Wednesday, July 10, 2024, at 4:00pm, at the First Congregational Church, 4 Highland Street, Meredith, NH.
Burial will be held on Thursday, July 11, 2024, at 11:00am, at the New Hampshire State Veterans Cemetery, 110 Daniel Webster Highway, Boscawen, NH.
All are welcome to attend either service.
