Obituary

Angel Luis Laboy, 77, a longtime Lowell resident, passed away on Tuesday, June 25 at Lowell General Hospital after a long time of medical conditions.

He was born on October 7, 1946 in Yabucoa, Puerto Rico and was a son of the late Valentin Laboy and the late Ramona (Cardona) Laboy. He came to the United States in his childhood, first to New York and later to Lowell, where he has lived for the past 50 years.

Angel loved cars and in particular enjoyed long drives where he would reminisce about the good old days. He was outgoing, loving, caring and extremely funny, possessing a wonderful sense of humor.

He worked as a truck driver for most of his life before his retirement. Earlier in his life, he also worked in the textile industry and shoe shops with Joan Fabrics and Grace Shoe.

Angel is survived by his girlfriend of over 27 years, Sena Harmon of Lowell, his children including Katelynn Laboy of Lowell and Valentin Laboy of Lowell. He is also survived by his sister, Julia DeJesus of Indiana and many other extended family throughout the continental United States and Puerto Rico.
