Marion E. Belanger, age 97, a longtime resident of Woburn formerly of Billerica passed away peacefully, Tuesday, July 2, 2024, at the Woburn Rehabilitation and Nursing Center. Marion was the beloved wife of the late Charles E. Belanger, Sr. Born in Westborough, MA she was the daughter of the late Daniel F. and Helen (Adams) O'Connell.
Marion was raised and educated in Woburn and was a graduate of St. Charles High School. She went on to further her education and received her degree from the Lowell State Teachers College in 1947. Marion and Charles owned and operated for close to twenty years the former New England International Gem Company of Billerica, where they sold jewelry and minerals. In her leisure time, Marion enjoyed reading, watching her favorite classic shows on the television, and crocheting. Over the years she also enjoyed spending time by the ocean and vacationing with family and friends. Marion will fondly be remembered for her "sweet tooth" but primarily for her unconditional love and devotion to her family.
Marion is survived by her children; Kathleen Eastman of Billerica, Arthur G. "Jerry" Belanger and his wife Peggy of Woburn, Patricia McNaughton and her husband Robert Jr. of Woburn, the late Charles E. Belanger, Jr. and his surviving wife Gini of Billerica. She was the cherished grandmother of Bob Eastman, Chad Belanger and wife Jessica, Andria Bremhorst and husband Brad, Ashleigh Allard and husband Thomas, Kelly Hornberger and wife Darcy, Richard Belanger and wife Alicia, Chris Belanger, Alyssa Guglielmo and husband Vinnie, Laura McNaughton and Nicole McNaughton. Loving great grandmother of Olivia, Chloe, Audrina, Louise, Maddox, Chase, Kayden, Rilyn, and Henry.
A funeral service will be conducted in the McLaughlin - Dello Russo Family Funeral Home, Tuesday, July 9th, at 10 a.m. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Services will conclude with burial at Calvary Cemetery, Winchester. Visiting hours will be held on Monday from 4 to 8 p.m. It has been requested that in lieu of flowers contributions may be made in Marion's memory to the American Heart Assoc., PO Box 840692, Dallas, TX 75284-0692.
