Eleanor C. (Seagren) Forsberg, age 86, a longtime Andover resident, formerly of Tewksbury and Woburn, passed away on Friday, June 28, 2024, at Lahey Hospital in Burlington, surrounded by family.
She was the loving wife of Norman A. Forsberg, who passed away on December 10, 2007.
Born in Winchester on January 13, 1938, she was the daughter of the late Irving C. Seagren and the late Evelyn (Pearson) Seagren.
Eleanor was the sister of two siblings, her brother, the late Carl A. Seagren, of Tewksbury and her sister, the late Diane (Seagren) Anderson, of Hudson, ME.
She is survived by many nieces, nephews, grandnieces, and grandnephews.
Prior to retiring, Eleanor spent her entire 50 plus year career working in the accounting offices of MIT Lincoln Labs in Bedford.
She loved her home and planning her next home renovation project as well as working in her yard planting numerous plants and flowers.
Eleanor so loved the companionship her many cats and dogs that accompanied her through her life and she never turned away one in need of a home.
She was surrounded by many people who genuinely cared about her including family, friends, and neighbors.
“We all were very fortunate to have Eleanor in our lives and she will be greatly missed”.
Calling hours are Sunday, July 7th, from 10:30 a.m. to 12: 30 p.m. at the Farmer & Dee Funeral Home, 16 Lee Street, Tewksbury, followed by a procession to the Chapel at West Parish Cemetery, 129 Reservation Road, Andover, MA, where funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. and burial will follow.
