James M. (Jamie) O’Keefe, 67
April 27, 1957 - June 10, 2024.
James M. O’Keefe, of Salem MA, husband of Susan Piaggio-O’Keefe for 25 years, died suddenly of a heart attack.
Born and raised in Salem, Jamie is the son of the late James J. and Mary-Jane O’Keefe (Pelletier).
Jamie is remembered as being fun-loving and full of life/boundless love by his surviving siblings:
Martha-Jane Moreland (Richard); Dennis O’Keefe (Charlotte); Philip O’Keefe (Linda); Brian O’Keefe (Teddi); Anne-Marie Blazonis (Robert); Elaine Cruddas (Raymond) and Sean O’Keefe (Debra) and his numerous loving nieces, nephews and cousins.
A graduate of Salem High School ‘75, Mr. O’Keefe earned his BA and MA from Salem State College.
Jamie enjoyed traveling with his wife Susan, gardening, Saturday night card games, and cooking. He was always available to lend a hand and was a people person. His wit was legendary with family and friends and he was an avid sports fan: world soccer, Celtics, Bruins, Red Sox and Patriots.
Arrangements: A celebration of life will be held on Sunday July 28 from 2 p.m. A family member may be contacted for details.
