Obituary

Dale Dorner passed away peacefully in her sleep a few days after her 83rd Birthday. Born and raised in Staten Island, New York, Dale was an energetic and fearless person. She graduated from Wagner College and was proud to have been a cheerleader, a sorority sister and a basketball player. She moved to upstate New York where she attended Albany Law School and was admitted to the practice of law in the State of New York in 1974, long before it was common for women to enter the legal field. She ran her own practice in Greenville, NY for over three decades.

Dale had a strong sense of her own capabilities and always approached life with a “can do” attitude, a sense of humor and with friendly comment to everyone she met. She enjoyed playing golf with her ladies, hiking in the Catskill mountains, zipping around town in her baby blue, 1972 Jaguar E-type V12 Roadster, and quiet Sunday afternoons watching the NY Giants. She was adventurous; white water rafting the in Grand Canyon, hiking in Iceland and Scotland and even went Skydiving for her 60th birthday.

She loved living in Rensselaerville, NY and the community life it fostered. Always, jumping in to participate, to say hello to a neighbor or volunteer when needed. She was fiercely independent and even though in the later years Dementia robbed of her short-term memory, it did not take her
personality away. She was a feisty fighter right up to the end, happily social and hugely proud of her family.

She is survived by her four children; Hillery Dorner, Jon Kosich, Bradford Kosich and Leander Willis, and by her 7 grandchildren; Konor Kolb, Mason Kolb, Hunter Kosich, Drake Willis, Finn Kosich, Caroline Kosich and Beckett Kosich as well as many lifelong friends and her husband, Thomas Delp. She will be greatly missed. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the
