Melissa Ann Lenzi, known affectionately as Missy, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on June 18, 2024, in Andover, MA, at the age of 58.
Born on February 3, 1966, in Winthrop and raised in Billerica MA, she was a vibrant soul who embraced life with fierce independence and joy.
Melissa was renowned for her exceptional culinary skills, a passion that brought her family and friends together around many a dinner table which always included spirited discussions about current events. Her relationships were deep-rooted, having maintained lifelong friendships and cherished her time with family above all.
She leaves behind her father, Edward Lenzi, and his wife, Susan Lenzi of Hudson NH; her sister Stephanie Lenzi and her husband Eric Ewald of Andover MA and her sister Debbie Lenzi, with her husband Doug Nebel of Lowell, MA. Missy was a beloved aunt to Alex and Lily Ewald. She was preceded in death by her mother, Beatrice Lenzi.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her memorial funeral Mass on Friday, July 12th, 2024, 10:00 AM at St. Williams Church, 1351 Main St., Route 38, Tewksbury, MA. Please meet at the church. Interment of her ashes will follow at Saint Mary Cemetery, 90 River Road, Tewksbury. At the request of Melissa, there will be no calling hours.
The family wishes to express their heartfelt gratitude to her hospice nurse, Sharon and the staff at Bear Mountain nursing center in Andover who cared for Melissa in her final days with respect and dignity.
