William “Willie” Z. Madison, Sr., 79, of Worcester, died on Wednesday, June 26th at Lutheran Rehabilitation and Care Center. He leaves a daughter, Jocelyn Madison; son, William Z. Madison, Jr. of Worcester; eight grandchildren, Jahneya Madison, Jahnelle Madison, Louqutia Madison, Amirah Madison, Anthony Madison, Jr., Jaylene Madison, Shamica Johnson, and Patrick Madison; two great grandchildren, Josiah and Isaiah; a brother, Heywood Madison and his wife, Marilyn of Worcester; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife, Juanita (Boykin) Madison; a sister, Eula Waire; a son, Anthony Madison; and a daughter, Jaylene Madison.
He was born in Richmond, VA, the son of Jeffrey Drew and Esther (Sellers) Madison. Willie was a proud veteran of the Unites States Army. He worked for the City of Worcester for many years up until his retirement. Willie enjoyed spending time with family and friends and living life to the fullest. He will be sorely missed by those who love him.
A brief funeral service will be held on Monday, July 8th beginning at 5:30pm in O'CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue. His calling hours will be on Monday, July 8th at 4:00pm until the start of the service. There is no burial.
